One of Pensacola's few homeless shelters for women and children is set to run out of funding early next year unless Escambia County intervenes. Since last year, Re-Entry Alliance Pensacola has operated the 52-bed shelter for homeless women and children, The Lodges, out of the former Salvation Army shelter at 1310 North S St. with funding from Opening Doors Northwest Florida. Funding for The Lodges ran out June 30, but the Pensacola City Council voted to support The Lodges and approved $200,000 in funding Aug.
