The Escambia County Courthouse in downtown Pensacola has reopened after law enforcement cleared a suspicious package that was reported Thursday morning. Escambia County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Morgan Lewis told the News Journal that they received a call about a 'suspicious package' and promptly closed down the M.C. Blanchard Judicial Center around 7:15 a.m. The scene was cleared at 8:13 a.m. "The ECSO would like to thank the State of Florida's Bureau of Fire, Arson and Explosives for their assistance," Lewis told the News Journal.
