PENSACOLA, Fla. (WEAR) — A woman celebrated her 105th birthday Monday at Haven of Our Lady of Peace Nursing Home in Pensacola, Florida. Margarette Berrisford was surrounded by family, friends and staff during the celebration at the Ascension nursing home The theme of her party was Florida Gators -- her favorite team. Ascension said Berrisford spent around 40 years in education, dedicating a large portion of that time at Pensacola State College. "In addition to teaching, she spent over 20 years volunteering at the Haven, giving her a unique perspective on life in Pensacola over the decades and the growth experienced by both Ascension Sacred Heart and PSC," Ascension told WEAR .
